that's right!
that is correct, one thousand million pesetas is a billion pesetas. TRaditionally the Spanish have used this method to express what we could a billion, however you sometimes do hear "billón", as an alternative, which you can find in Collins Dctionary.

Does there still exist a difference between the two countries (numerical systems)? A question for the monolingual English->English section perhaps.
