Interpretación correcta de la frase.

"Power distribution board" es una placa utilizada para rectificar y distribuir voltaje. Tiene una única entrada (seguramente 220V o 115V) que alimenta un circuito rectificador y varias salidas, en este caso de 24V o 48V de corriente contínua.

"24/48 V DC" significa que la placa tiene dos salidas de corriente contínua de 24 y de 48 V.

"Wetting" significa que la placa ha sido tratada con solución de limpieza tensoactiva o solución de fosfito para quitar grasa y polvo para poder soldar terminales. Debió decir "wetted" o "cleaned", con lo cual tendría un mejor sentido.

"Wetting power" existe y es una medida físicoquímica del poder desengrasante de los tensoactivos lo cual conduce a la confusión en el significado en esta expresión.

Primero y ante todo, no tiene que ver con ser a prueba de agua. El "wetting power" es simplemente la capacidad de permitir la entrada de "la corriente eléctrica"..
Igual no lo tienes ni que traducir o incluir en tu traducción ya que la cifras ya lo dicen todo.

Wetting power is any supply supplying more than about 10ma. closed circuit. Or applying more than a few volts open circuit. Currents/voltages less than this are considered "dry switching" because there is insufficient energy to punch through the oxide films common to for example tin and silver contacts. Contacts for "dry switching" are often plated with gold or other noble metals that grow little or no oxides/sulfides, etc.

People tend to break these rules all the time switching small signal voltages with power contacts, etc. These same folks have a lot of "relay trouble". Specifying a contact wetting power supply is just a way to make sure there is enough energy available for reliable switching. Wetting the contacts, in this context, is simply breaking up the oxide films with a tiny bit of arcing.


A dry contact is a contact that does not provide voltage. For instance, the push-to-talk switch of a microphone, which just closes a circuit without providing voltage.
