Esta "franja falsa" (puedes poner otros equivalentes, como "franja del mismo color que el contenido", etc.) es una porción del envase que tiene el mismo color que el contenido. Lo que hace es "simular" el contenido del envase para dar la impresión de que está lleno, pero no lo está. Aquí va lo que encontré.
