address care

English Law/Patents Law: Contract(s)
Hi there,

Need some English native speaker's help. I mean no offense to anyone, but please reply if you are an English speaker or really know the answer to the question. Thanks!

What does "address care" mean here:

Mr. XX with an address care of WX Management, 9-13 Road, Wilmslow, Cheshire.

Thanks a lot!

it is "care of" not "address care"

sending "care of" somebody means that WX Management will take care of the letter/pass it to Mr. XX. Probably Mr. XX does not live at that address, but WX Management will make sure he gets it.

agree mstkwasa : What else could it be? Sometimes abbreviated as c/o.

Thanks.
agree Victor Potapov : the concept of postal box without the box (there's a whole company - or a person - in place of a PO box here) "Care of" or, indeed, "c/o". Was a bit surprised to see "Native speaker English only"... But then I'm not in the English>Spanish pair! :-)))
